Show notes: It’s fall, y’all- I think…the calendar says it is, but the weather hasn’t so far. We finally got some rain here, and I think the leaves have started to change colors because of the drought and intense sun. Hopefully Mother Nature will get the memo that Halloween is just around the corner and will chill out some.
In this 96th episode of “Drawing Funny” I go over of some of the upcoming scheduled Mid-South Cartoonists Association fall activity, as well as other Halloween related events coming up around town and in the midsouth area.
I share info on the MSCA‘s upcoming zines and the monthly dinner gatherings at Garibaldi’s Pizza (next one is this Tues./Oct.6th), Greg Cravens’ Con Cards game nights, Rogue’s Gallery Memphis Strikes Back, Novel Memphis‘ Junior Drawing Club, Stage & Sketch at The Dixon Gallery and Gardens, Memphis Monster Con, Memphis Monster Market, Ave Maria Home visit, the Alpha Omega Veterans Center comics donations, Free Little Art Galleries, RRParks CARDS “Halloween Trick Or Treat” Kickstarter campaign, The Nazca Preservation Project, the future WKNO Art Show Exhibition and MSCA’s 40th anniversary in 2027, plus lots more!
The RRParksCARDS 13th Annual HALLOWEEN Trading Cards Event’s Kickstarter campaign runs for one more week and will end on Fri, October 9 2026 11:01 PM CDT. I did 9sketchcards for this set, and will have artist returns available for sale soon.
I do have several scare-brushed Monsterpieces, some “Scared Silly” marker illustrations, and wood panel acrylic maker paintings that will be on display and for sale at the Memphis Monster Market in October, including some new exclusive pieces. The Monster Market is celebrating it’s 10th anniversary this year, too!
I’ll also be set up again at the 3rd annual Memphis Monster Con out at the Agricenter International in November.

The sun killed off our pumpkin patch. Nicki and I added some shade cloth but it was too late. Was able to save a couple watermelon vines.
